How to Use This Thing
🛠 Installing the Sensor
- Mount the stop sign-shaped LED display at windshield height using the included Velcro strips.
- Mount the small ultrasonic sensor near bumper height with the included double-sided tape.
- The sensor is factory-wired to the display with a fixed, non-removable cable, no extra connections needed.
- Power options: 4 × AA batteries (not included; typical life 4–5 months) or a USB-C cable (not included) with a 5V USB power source.
- To set your parking distance: park in your ideal spot, then press the Set Distance button firmly until all three lights flash. Release to save. Repeat anytime to reset.
🚗 Parking Your Car
- As you pull in, the display guides you like a traffic light:

- Yellow = slow down
- Red = stop at your saved distance

Pull in and stop exactly where you want the car to live. Press and hold the Set Distance button until the lights flash, about 5 seconds, and that’s your spot, anywhere from 6 inches to 6 feet from the sensor. Park somewhere new next year? Do it again.
It Pings Like a Bat.
The sensor sends out sound pings you can’t hear and listens for them to bounce back. When your car starts rolling toward it, it pings faster and tracks the distance the whole way in, starting well before your stop point. The rest of the time it barely pings at all, which is why four AAs last for months.
Follow Green. Yellow. Red.
Green, keep coming. Yellow, ease off, you’re close. Red, you’re there. It won’t hit the brakes for you, but it tells you exactly when to.
The Display Pops Off the Wall. On Purpose.
The little sensor tapes down at bumper height. The display goes up where you can see it from the driver’s seat, and it hangs on Velcro, not tape. That’s so it pulls right off when it’s time for fresh batteries, then goes right back where it was. It doesn’t even have to be a wall. A shelf or the beer fridge works fine.
Four AAs or a USB-C Cable.
Run it on four AA batteries, or plug in a USB-C cable and forget about batteries altogether. There’s no cable in the box, because we have no idea where your outlet is. It might be two feet away or twenty, so you get the length that fits your garage.

How close can I set the stop point?
The saved red-light stop point is adjustable from 6 inches to 6 feet from the sensor.
How do I teach it where to stop?
Mount the sensor in front of the vehicle and park at the exact spot you want. Press and hold the Set Distance button until the lights flash, about 5 seconds, then let go. It remembers that spot until you set a new one.
What do the three lights mean?
Green means continue approaching, yellow means slow down, and red means stop at the distance you saved.
How is it mounted?
Use the included hook-and-loop and double-sided tape on a wall, shelf, workbench, or another surface in front of the vehicle.
How is it powered?
Four AA batteries, which last about 4 to 5 months with typical use (around twice a day), or a USB-A to USB-C cable plugged into a regular USB wall charger. None of those come in the box, since the cable length depends on where your outlet is. Want one guaranteed to fit? Our USB-C Cable with Power Adapter includes both. If it’s mounted where people or pets walk past a lot, plug it in, because it wakes up every time something moves in front of it. Bought yours before 2025? It most likely has a micro-USB port.
Why does it need clear space around it?
It sends its pings out in a cone, not a straight line. Keep shelves, trash cans, bikes and anything else out of that cone, or it’ll read them before it reads your car. Aim it at the flattest part of your bumper, since a wide-open grille can let the pings slip through. And mount it straight in front of the car it’s parking, not between two cars, or in front of whatever sticks out farthest if you have accessories mounted up front.
Why is it flashing yellow?
The batteries need changing. Swap in four fresh AAs, or plug it into USB-C and skip batteries altogether.
What’s the difference between this and the Parking Sensor LT?
The range you can set. This gray sensor sets a stop point anywhere from 6 inches to 6 feet. The white Parking Sensor LT sets from 1 to 4 feet. Pick the one that fits your garage.
